More on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
The idea that our physical pains and diseases stem from our emotions is becoming more widely accepted. In fact, the entire EFT principle is based on the premise that "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."
According to its founder, Gary Craig, EFT has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. The closest analogy is to acupuncture, except you tap with your fingers, instead of using needles. The practitioner also works with well-established energy meridian points on the body - except the focus is on the emotions, rather than on the Chi.
The link between disease and emotions has been around for thousands of years in the East. Back in the 1920's, Albert Einstein announced to the Western world that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy. Nonetheless, despite his 'discovery', this fact has been largely ignored by Western Healing Practices.
Because EFT is based upon that time-honoured tradition, it often works where nothing else will. In fact, it can work extremely rapidly ... sometimes in mere moments!
Gary Craig says it can be used for just about everything and Roland James' results seem to bear that out. Fear, trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, guilt, anger and many other challenges can often be gently discharged ... so opening the way to improved health and happiness.
It has also been applied to enhance performance and improve relationships. In relationships, EFT can help by reducing the emotional upsets towards ones partner, many of which have their origins in the past. Using EFT, couples can overcome many of the barriers to friendship and closeness.
It's important to realise that EFT doesn't work with all issues and challenges. Which is why Roland James only uses it in conjunction with hypnosis. Typically, the end result is lasting and is also accompanied by positive changes in thinking.
Note: Whilst EFT has achieved excellent results with many physical conditions, Roland James does not see it as a substitute for appropriate medical care and recommends that his sessions be used in conjunction with medical consultation and intervention for such conditions, if and when necessary.
